Philippians
4:4-7 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your
gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about
anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all
understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Matthew 27:24-26 When Pilate saw that he
was getting nowhere, but that instead an uproar was starting, he took water and

said. ‘It is your responsibility!’ All the people answered, ‘His blood is on us
and on our children!’ Then he released Barabbas to them. But he had Jesus
flogged, and handed him over to be crucified.

Luke
10:38-42 As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village
where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. She had a sister called
Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. But Martha was
distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and
asked, ‘Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by
myself? Tell her to help me!’ ‘Martha, Martha,’ the Lord answered, ‘you are
worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed–or indeed only
one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.’
