May the LORD our God be with us as He was with our ancestors; may He never leave us nor forsake us.
Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
The LORD makes firm the steps of those who delight in Him; though they stumble, they will not fall, for the LORD upholds them with His hand.
In their hearts human beings plan their course, but the LORD establishes their steps.
More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law. For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God’s sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous.
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
